Freedom Fridays 09/08/2008

Freedoommmmmmmmm!!!  Ok, so we just performed for Freedom High School in South Riding, VA. Hello to all the FHS Eagles!!!  It was a lot of fun to be there and hear so many kind words after the show.  I've especially appreciated the incredible messages I've received from those of you who got a chance to see it.  I've been really encouraged to continue these shows after all the positive feedback. So, thank you to all that made it possible.

I'm really excited about all the important issues that were able to be brought up. I'm especially excited about the "Freedom Fridays" that started from this show, and I wanted to share it with all of you that weren't there.  Every Fridaywill now be declared "Freedom Friday" in which every one will be allowed a fresh start, new opportunities, and most importantly... be FREE from ridicule or lonelyness, whether you're in school or not, student or teacher, child or parent, young or old... you can be FREE! Freedom Fridays will do just the trick... assuming there are participants...

One of my favorite things to do is to wave and smile at people, whether I know them or not. I actually find it's most exciting and satisfying to wave and smile at people that I don't know but look like they're having a bad day or are really mad. It's amazing to see how they react. Most often, it begins with a look of confusion, but it generally moves very quickly into a look of relief and joy! That is always so satisfying to me to see a smile returned. I think on Freedom Fridays we should all try this as best as we can.

I also LOVE to ask random people how their day is going or how they are doing.

I've learned a really  interesting fact about people's response to this question. The first time you ask, the response will almost always be either "good" or "fine."  However, I've learned that if you ask the same person that same question within the same short conversation, they will almost always think for a second and tell you, at least in part, how they REALLY feel.  Give it a try. It's really fun to see how it works. The next step is to make sure you really listen, especially the second time you ask because you're about to draw out of them something they've been trained not to tell you, and you'll be setting them FREE!!!

Well that's my blurb for the day. I'll be trying to check in with you all more often from now on, so be sure to check in with me more often too, and be sure to leave me a comment with your responses and the responses you get when you give all this a try! I can't wait to hear from you soon.

Peace and be blessed!
Phillip
